Akron Black Stockings

The Cleveland Blues played the Akron Black Stockings in Middleburg Heights. Yes, that was the complete address we got. We tried to find the field, the first two guesses were wrong. A phone search lead us to the library, and behind it the game was to begin when we pulled in. 

This dog, Loki, is a grade A mascot. He is still missing his brother, Thor.

The game was played so as Abraham Lincoln and the Yankees would find it current. The field is all grass, and home is a round plate. This is how the game looked before the introduction of gloves, and other items.

 Runners can be tagged out if they over run first, second, or third.

 Playing bare handed, it is advisable to use both hands together. After eight innings, it was Cleveland 22, Akron 17; and i think that was the final score.

After the game, players doff their caps, cheer, and then shake hands with the other team.
