There were a few 'green' floats that really had nothing to do with either Padraig or the Gaels. This one was clever, 'Green Man Group' playing garbage drums.
They had religious groups too. Here a prayer circle of clowns.
I am so sorry, i did not interview this good natured lass, whom plays a bride in a haunted maze. There was a troupe of such actors. The audience had to have been pleasantly surprised.
Cotton candy before the parade was $3, after the parade two for the dollar. Some of the traveling vendors were new to the city, and were there only for the afternoon.
And of course, the parade existed to be seen. The day did not register past the freezing point. Between E.18th & E. 12th there were many free spots. Many people, especially those with small children left early. Some came weather ready, and viewed the entirety; even [zima, zima] at some 45+°F less than last year, and half the attendance, it still should be the biggest parade in the metropolitan area this year.
Someone had be the last.
And if you had a Jesuit education you surely know, ad maiorem Dei gloriam.
