signs of the time

Some businesses [extra-ordinarily few in to-day's America] actually have an appreciation for art and design. This flying pig is by Shaker Square Cleveland. Brandon Chrostowski, is a member of Our Lady of Peace parish in the neighborhood. He began with a restaurant, and now with this butcher shop/cafe, which will be joined with an adjacent bakery, and a study center. He is also involved with West Side Catholic Center in a pizza place. He has hired many former prisoners, and a documentary film has been made on his first business, "Knife Skills".
A map of the county, on the Board of Elections building
We see that this map has not been made by current Republicans.

Well, most graffiti is vandalism without art. This is an exception. The artist calls himself, Abstract Dissent. It is in the main cavity of the Westinghouse complex on the east side of Cleveland. The site has shown up in million dollar movies of comic book super heroes.
Part of the piece is the Buzzard from the old FM rock radio station 101.7 WMMS, in the era of album rock before disco and the wretched hip-hop. I have no idea what the station programs to-day.

This gorilla is in other open space. The parts of building, that are not opened to the sun, are filled with old tires and debris. Walking around in the open, there is much broken glass.
In abandoned churches, there are sad pianos left behind. This one is form a house in Parma, the scrap men did not want. It was made in Boston.
