They explain their show: "Children of the Wild, nomadic theatre and film
ensemble, are announcing free performances of an original, traveling
folk opera called The Wastelands, to take place at St. John’s Institute
Friday July 1 at 7pm, Saturday July 2 at 7pm, and Sunday July 3 at 3pm. A
reimagining of Dante Alighieri’s medieval masterpiece Purgatorio, The
Wastelands takes audiences on an outdoor, visceral journey through the
seven stages of grief, weaving music, movement, imagery and local
testimony into the land itself."
