Helios Project

Larry & Francine Johns gifted educational models and informative signs on the universe to Medina Ohio. The Helios Project opened to the public mid August 2023. It begins with a chrome like covered sun, with twelve culture graphics of the sun around it. I've been told not to look at the sun, this one was safe to be photographed.

Saturn, the planets are scaled in size to the sun. The terrestrial planets are near marble sized, and Pluto is included. Some deterioration has occurred, Mercury's bead is gone, and a few stickers were added on some signs, and removed, leaving behind bits of strips, the Milky Way spiral is gone.

The path is about Champion Creek, and part of it is like a clean alley. Some of it comes up to railway tracks, some of it is between new apartment buildings, some of it passes electrical installations. Some streets, and bridges are crossed.

Deer were visible throughout the walk.

The path for walking with or without doggy companions, and a path for the iron horse.
