2022 Miscellany #10

New wall, new mural, West 44th & Lorain (Cleveland) is slowly being realised.
Green Heron. Lorain Impoundment has developed a new mudflat that is bringing in birds. This is one benefit from the change in landscaping, of which much has been negative.
Karma finds strange stuff. Seven Hills.
West side Cleveland's Roberto Clemente Park has had repair, and painting done. Clemente wore #21. Somewhere along the line, Pittsburgh Pirates, Penguins, and Steelers all are black and gold. Karma and Cassius had to approve of the park's upkeep. Trash is a problem.
Human habitations have been removed on Cleveland's Forestwood [sic], and nearby streets for decades. Some 600 houses between c.1987-c.2003 were demolished for Hopkins Airport, and commercial, and light industrial development. As so much in Cleveland, much did not come, but some did (which doesn't always appear). Those former tree lawns provide a tree canopy of sweet gum. Many Cleveland area streets have been denuded of trees.

Quan Âmm Vietnamese Buddhist Temple, Cleveland west side. A Lady Buddha, female bodhisattva Guanyin patroness of sailors and fishermen. Jesuits saw her as a goddess of mercy.
Fulton Road mural. Cleveland.
