East 93rd

cropped on a foto posted by Stamy Paul
Some cities have painted in big yellow letters, "BLACK LIVES MATTER".  Mayor of District of Columbia is Muriel Bowser, and she had it on June 5th placed on 16th street leading to the White house. In other cities, it has been placed on downtown streets. Cleveland has it on East 93rd. Local Black Lives Matter was not pleased, it should be on an important street downtown.

Stamy Paul of Graffiti HeArt, and Ricky Smith's Random Acts of Kindness Everywhere made it a mural project Saturday. Each letter is a separate mural. A television report said, other such murals could happen on the near west side, and downtown.
This was on a wall on the other side of Union, "Revolutionary Prayers" by  Kevin Harp . It was not part of yesterday's project.
The police closed off the street from by Bessemer, where these two churches are kitty korner to each other, all the way to where St. Catharine's had been. This allowed the many people to paint, and others to admire. Sunday morning, the street was still blocked.
Greater Whitestone Missionary Baptist had some very amplified preaching going on from their parking lot.
