Buckeye

Ubuntu Gathering Place, a pocket park largely funded by foundational grants in 2023.  It has bioretention basins, ecological, and artistic components.  It is bordered by Shaker Blvd. westbound, near Buckeye & Woodhill.  The last few years, there has been much redevelopment on a stretch of Buckeye.  The mural above is by Octavio Logo, “I Am Because We Are”.
Inside a giant hexagon of bricks is an outline of Africa made from hexagonal pavers.
Stephen Manka's Water Tower is on Buckeye, now.  It was once on Superior, then in storage for near 8 years.
It is a slightly complicated intersection.
Mr. Soul (Kevin Harp) has a new mural on Buckeye.

Česká Spolková Síň (1916) Czech Club Hall

At the time, most Czechs in America called themselves Bohemians.  Cleveland had a few neighbourhood Czech Halls. This may have been the last one built. It has been a black Baptist church for decades.

Most of the area before World War II was largely Magyar (Hungarian), and Slovak. Afterwards it has become a Black neighbourhood.
