Animals blessed after St. Francis

Sprinkling with holy water.

St. Francis was in love with all of God's creation. Animals are our brothers and sisters. The legacy of Francis included his attitude towards these fellow creatures of God. Overtime it became traditional to have animals blessed around his day, October 4th. This practice has been expanded outside of the Catholic Church, for people recognise the example and value.

St. Charles Borromeo Parma is a large parish. School enrollment is 475. Small showing for the blessing.
