Can you help a fellow American down on his luck?

I spoke to the owner of this 'Gorilla' a few moments after i snapped the shot. He owns an ice cream stand in Lakewood. He told me the story of the gorilla. I asked him why that name? He scratched under his armpit in the 'i don't know sign', which is also the ape/monkey mannerism. It is great fun.

The hand makes for a seat, and the opposite leg a bench. Kids can line up for fotos.

Generally, this statue is sold to zoos. The hand looks like he is asking for money.
