The nature of outside, open air art made with sand, and chalk are temporary installations. Water will move fine particles of rock. There is a small duration after creation, see it while it lasts. Overall, these tend to be a conservative art form, and easily appreciated. Abstract expressionism does not appear. The chalkings were done on the stone surfaces outside the 1916 entrance of Cleveland Art Museum.
