I took this closer, on a narrow road that is directly next and over the freeway. People, and me, waved at each other as they drove by; perhaps they have seen someone there before holding a camera.
Willie the Whale, last survivor from Mother Goose Land Canton
The park was active from the 1950s to the 1980s. Willie was in a 1946 Disney cartoon, as an opera singing whale. For a time his mouth was bricked up, so as to prevent people sleeping inside. A few years ago, a retarded woman was raped inside. In 2014 a long nursery rhyme themed mural was painted on the wall across him. The next lot has a dog park.
In a rundown strip mall in Hebron Ohio from a long gone golf shop, currently there is another golf shop. Notice an access door.
