Westinghouses, west and east
Was thinking, i was running out of major abandoned places around Cleveland to picture. Well, on the Shoreway (Route 2) just before the Edgewater exit there is this eight storey building marked Westinghouse on the terminus of West 58th. Years ago, listening to traffic broadcasts, it was frequent to hear cars bunching up at the Westinghouse curve. Recent report has the building to become a hotel and apartments. Cleveland has a hell of a lot of reports about possible future construction (or as they like to say,
'development'). Well maybe on this one, but do not gamble on it; and you cannot at the promised Gilbert second casino downtown.
