virginia bluebells

I read Virginia bluebells like moist soil, and shade, and are alright with rocks, and can be found by flowing water. This year, the spring blooms are early by more than a week.
These photos were taken Wednesday at Hemlock Creek at Bedford Reservation Cleveland  Metroparks. Last year, this was closed to the public because of the early steps to prevent initial spread of the coronavirus. All have not bloomed yet, but it is forming a blue carpet, and that is what i wanted to see. Some of the footpath on the edge has fallen down the wee cliff to the bank.

Some of the even earlier blooms were still there: trout lily (?).

The light color flowers are spring beauties.
