Tenth Ward War Monument Commitee

Such an entity suggests how diffuse and organised the country became during WWII. Cleveland had 33 wards. This was a very local monument. The statue is not very impressive, but the dedication shows the point. A neighborhood thought it was proper, perhaps necessary to demonstrate the political ideals of the country. Kirtland Park is north of St. Clair Ave.
Her right hand is missing. It would be interesting to know what, if anything, she carried. The left hand points to heaven.
