Mike Lofgren is a former Republican appartchik that coined the term "deep state" in 2014. For normal people the term is related to the "military-industrial complex" or bureaucratic inertia; but for the conspiracy lunatics, and the sort of bomb throwers as Steve Bannon it is more nefarious. Now, Bannon was the chief at Breitbart (an ultra-conservative agit-prop organisation). Bannon became the chief campaign and governmental propagandist for Trump. Now, when Trump or trumpsters find themselves hindered by the system of laws, the Constitution, ethics, tradition, jurisprudence, decency, et alia they cry "deep state".
